Nova Note uses the browser's File System Access API to read and write Markdown files in a local folder you choose. File contents and listings are never sent to any external server — everything happens inside the browser. Folder access permission is managed by the browser itself, per device and browser; Nova Note does not collect or store this information.
In addition to your theme and language settings, a reference to the last workspace folder you opened is saved on your device (in the browser's IndexedDB/local storage) so the app can reconnect to it next time. This information never leaves your device.
We do not use analytics or advertising trackers.
